TOP STORIES:

- Thousands affected by heavy flooding (page 17) Following days of torrential rains that hit Central Europe, Poland is experiencing its biggest natural disaster since 1997. The flood left at least 13 people killed, thousands displaced, causing an estimated EUR 2.5bn worth of damage. The final bill is likely to be higher prompting the government to seek help from the EU.
- Another giant IPO on WSE (page 14). Althought it's been only a couple of days since Poland's biggest ever Initial Public Offering, featuring the insurer PZU, the government is planning a possibly even bigger sale by the end of June. The IPO of energy giant Tauron is said to total some PLN 6-9bn, depending on an estimate.
